Description of Kingdom Territory
I WAS SO EXCITED TO READ THIS...MY SPIRIT COULDN'T SIT STILL...I HAD TO WRITE AND STUDY S.O.A.P #2 IN TODAY'S
SCRIPTURE:
DEUTERONOMY 8:7-9 (MESSAGE)
God is about to bring you into a good land, a land with brooks and rivers, springs and lake streams out of the hills and through the valleys. It's a land of wheat and barley, of vines and figs, and pomegranates, of olives, oil, and honey. It's land where you'll never go hungry - always food on the table and a roof over your head. It's a land where you'll get iron out of rocks and mine copper from the hills.
OBSERVATION:
Before us lies our inheritance; The
It's bountiful and rich with unending streams of spiritual refreshment. Our Territory is full of deep spiritual knowledge, gleaned from hearts torn open; from wisdom learned when tests and trials have loomed up. It's a place of wisdom; learned through life's troubles and also through prosperity. It's fruitfulness; rewards as we pass through testings.
We learn there, in our Territory, to mount up...and become prominent in order to shine for Jesus.
It's a place to become 'fat' in our spirit and learn to stand without wavering. There is no lack of spiritual food there; we are always filled full...there is no 'need' or 'lack'...our Father knows what we need!
It's a place where we dig out the gold nuggets of memory (what God has done for us throughout our lives) and use them to build our memorial of faith; strong and solid.
Here, in our Territory, we dig out, hew and cut out things that have bound our spirit in sin. We begin to learn, by experience, to observe the things that have deterred us or tripped us up...places where we are weak...and we immediately destroy them. We watch for 'signs' that our spirit is off track, and quickly get back on track...God's track. We watch for things that 'ring a bell', reminding us what had, in the past, made us stumble. (It was really cool that the word 'copper' in Hebrew can mean to 'ring a bell')
All the way, God leads us into a 'good land'; our sweet
Application:
All I can say is.....I WANT IT! God has given me this Territory....and I WANT IT! Now I'm learning what it 'looks' like to take it, keep it, and dwell in it. I love how God's Word paints such vivid pictures! My spirit can't stand still inside of me...it's jumping for joy knowing that I now know where I belong...and HOW to BE there! Thank You Jesus...Your Word is amazing...and WOW what a Textbook! Energize Your Word, Lord and take action IN me, Holy Spirit! Let's go get it!
